For this installation, we chose to use JA Solar panels, SolarEdge
optimisers and inverters. SolarEdge is known for its outstanding efficiency, with their inverters averaging around 99% efficiency. This means that nearly all of the sunlight captured by the panels is converted into usable energy, providing our client with significant cost savings and a reduced environmental footprint.
We also selected superior Renusol MS+ roof mounting systems for this project. These systems are robust and durable, ensuring that the panels are securely fastened and optimally positioned to capture maximum sunlight throughout the day.

System Enhancements

One of the standout features of this installation was the use of SolarEdge inverters with power optimisers. These inverters allow for superior monitoring and optimisation of the system, ensuring each panel operates at its peak potential. At TJS Solar, we recently completed a major solar installation project for a commercial property in Carlisle. This 226kWp system showcases our commitment to integrating advanced technology and safety features into our renewable energy solutions. This project allowed us to demonstrate our expertise in delivering large-scale solar installations efficiently and effectively.

Technology and Equipment

For this installation, we chose to use SolarEdge optimisers and inverters, renowned for their high efficiency and reliability. SolarEdge inverters, known for their impressive average efficiency of 99%, ensure that the maximum amount of sunlight is converted into usable energy. This high conversion rate is crucial for reducing energy costs and supporting the client's sustainability goals.
A key addition to this system was the Firefighter Gateway. This advanced safety feature allows for the rapid shutdown of the solar system in the event of an emergency. It's an incredibly clever solution that enhances the safety of the building and provides additional security for the fire brigade if they are ever called out. The Firefighter Gateway is a critical component for ensuring the safety of both the system and the building's occupants, as it can prevent electrical hazards during firefighting operations.
We also installed 2 x Schneider 160a AC isolators, along with 100 meters
of 240mm AWA AC distribution cable, to manage the system's electrical flow safely and efficiently. Additionally, we designed and installed a new MCCB panelboard specifically for the PV system, ensuring optimal management of the solar energy produced.

System Enhancements

The inclusion of the Firefighter Gateway was a significant enhancement to this project. It provides an immediate safety feature, allowing the system to be quickly and safely shut down, which is vital for protecting the building and its occupants. This feature also offers peace of mind, knowing that the system is equipped with the latest safety technology, making it easier for emergency services to manage any potential incidents.

Installation Process

With our extensive experience in electrical deployment, the installation process was handled with meticulous care. Our team ensured all wiring and system components were installed neatly and securely, adhering to the highest standards of safety and efficiency. The use of a Schneider AC isolators, Schneider Panelboard and high-quality AC distribution cables ensured that the electrical infrastructure was robust and reliable.
